Mrs. Richter’s Drawing 1 class created works of art centered around the theme “Celebrating Cultural Diversity” in honor of Black History Month. An amazing opportunity arose at DePaul hospital for Holman artist’s. The hospital is hosting an art contest for 16 lucky students to be selected to have their work displayed in the hospital cafeteria for several months. Chosen students will be honored with an art reception on February 26th at 6:00 p.m. All students created amazing work! Choosing the winners was a challenge. Please join me in congratulating the following Holman art students for being selected to have their work on display at the hospital:

Attention parents of 8th grade students enrolling at PHS for the 2019-2020 school year:

On Monday, January 28th, PHS will host a Curriculum Night for parents and students.  This event will help students and parents better understand course choices for the 2019-2020 school year.  The pep rally and assembly will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the main gym.  In this assembly you and your son or daughter will learn about making a smooth transition to high school life.  After the assembly, parents and students are invited to curricular booths in the cafeteria and commons area to learn more about courses and curriculum.  Learn about elective options, honors, and advanced courses as well.  These will be open from 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  See you there!

For anyone interested in Project Lead the Way, an open house will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the main gym with presentations to follow in the PLTW classrooms with PLTW Biomedical in room F210, PLTW Computer Science in room B213, and PLTW Engineering in room B207.  This special open house will end at 6:45 p.m.
