The Pattonville Board of Education on Dec. 14 approved asking Pattonville residents to vote on a $111 million zero-tax-rate-change bond issue on April 5, 2022 to fund a new master facilities plan for the district. The plan calls for adding classrooms to address growth in student enrollment; providing safety and maintenance improvements; and updating school facilities to meet current and future teaching and learning needs (see project lists below). Approval of the bond issue would not require an increase in the district tax rate.
The Pattonville School District is partnering with the Pattonville Fire Protection District to offer COVID-19 vaccine clinics for students and adults, ages 5 and up, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Pattonville High School. Pattonville fire department representatives will be on hand to administer the Pfizer vaccine for students ages 5 and older. All three COVID-19 vaccines (Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer) will be available for adults who need a booster shot or who have yet to be vaccinated. All students ages 5-17 will need to have a parent or guardian present at the vaccine clinic.
Every few years, Pattonville updates its long-range facilities plan to ensure its students are learning in well-maintained facilities that meet their educational needs. Pattonville is currently in the midst of working with parents, students and staff to develop a new facilities master plan and is seeking input from the community as it finalizes these plans. To ensure Pattonville is responsive to the needs of its students and families and understands the priorities of its community, the district invites parents, staff and community members to take a few minutes to answer an online survey.
The Pattonville Board of Education on Nov. 9 reviewed a new master facilities plan for Pattonville that adds classrooms to address growth in student enrollment; provides safety and maintenance improvements; and updates school facilities to meet current and future teaching and learning needs (see list below). If approved, the board would then ask voters to fund the new facilities plan by voting on a $111 million zero-tax-rate-change bond issue in April 2022. The board is expected to vote on the plan and funding mechanism during its Dec. 14 board meeting.
